Kale and Blueberry Shake Recipe

A recent patient, Georgette, turned me on to this most incredible shake.

You have to try it and you will not even taste any kale!

It’s best to drink within the first 30 minutes; however, if you refrigerate it, most of the nutrition will last over night.

Enjoy.

This drink is a nutrient enhancement on steroids. Just 1 cup of kale has over 30,000 IU of vitamin K.

Recipes for the Liver & Thyroid Plan

SESAME GINGER KALE SLAW

  • Dressing 1/3 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp raw honey
  • 1 tbsp chopped garlic
  • 2 tbsp minced or grated ginger
  • Sea salt, to taste
  • 1/4 cup sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup safflower oil
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds

In a blender, combine the first seven ingredients. While blender is running, drizzle in the oils and blend well. Stir in sesame seeds. Refrigerate until chilled. Lightly dress shredded or finely chopped kale, shredded carrots, thinly sliced red onion and chopped walnuts (if desired). Toss well before serving.
