Can’t Get Motivated?
How is your willpower good, bad or okay? Are you lacking the oomph to jump in? Your oomph will disappear to the number of failed past attempts.
Let’s me explain something there is absolutely, positively a 100% chance that you will never lose the weight if you never start.
Ask yourself this question – what is your top weight limit? 150 pounds? 200? 300? Have you exceeded this?
Here’s the first step. Answer this question: why do you really want to lose weight?
Why?
Is this reason good enough? Are you doing it for someone else? Are you doing because your doctor said you’re going to develop diabetes if you don’t?
These are not good reasons. You need to find an emotionally convincing reason that will push you past the inertia. It could be to get back at someone who called you fat. It could be because you want people to check you out as you walk past them.
Get some paper and a pen and write down exactly what you want to look like, down to the last detail. DON’T hold back and don’t be reasonable I hate people being reasonable. Don’t say things like I want to be a size 10 but I’ll settle for size 14. What shape do you want, what size clothes you want to fit in, what proportions do you want? What do you want to wear: a little black dress? Tight jeans? Write down what YOU REALLY WANT TO LOOK LIKE!
You know what will happen next self-doubt pops up and says, that’s unrealistic ¦ you’re getting older ¦ this will never happen ¦blah, blah, blah.
IGNORE IT!!!
Visualize exactly what you want to look like. When you are finished, write down WHY you want to look like this the people that you want make jealous, the things that you want people to say, the attention you want to get. Give yourself permission to be conceited and selfish for once it’s okay.
Whenever you are driving, crank up your favorite music and visualize yourself the way that you really deserve to be, despite any counter thoughts.
Let me explain after working with tens of thousands of people, the ONLY people who achieve this are the ones who keep the vision of what they want despite all of the evidence to the contrary. They just KNOW it will happen period, end of discussion. If it’s not happening right away, realize that your body has a lag time to heal and become healthy. Keep seeing yourself exactly the way that you want to look and feel.
I want you to walk around and BE the thin person that you really are. The truth is, you are not fat, and you’re simply stuck in a body with excess potential energy. As you ask as observe what happens. You’ll start running into situations that present solutions to the barriers between you and your goal. I believe that every person coming in my office will eventually say, I’m going to really find THE solution.
This happens in relationships too. About 20 years ago, I was single, lonely and desperate. No matter what I did, women weren’t interested. I’d be driving in my Nissan Sentra (no air-conditioning) thinking that the woman of my dreams would somehow find me. Within a few days, I met my future wife.
Here’s an incredible example.
this lady has been everywhere for a long time at least 20 doctors with no results , and interestingly someone slipped my card in your purse, but she paid no attention to it. After a few years, she decided to travel to a medical intuitive. This person had her lay out the 21 cards on a table and she immediately pointed to my card telling her this guy will help you. She comes in and gets better what are the odds?
-another lady was sitting at her computer feeling fat, tired and frustrated. Somehow my website pops up. She tells her husband she’s driving to Virginia from Tennessee. Eight hours later she arrives at my office, and we help her.
Yes, it takes the right program, BUT I will tell you, it starts with your thoughts, telling yourself, I’m going to find the answer and I will get my ultimate body.
So, stop the self-doubt, the I’m too old ¦. Or I have fat genes. Ignore anyone who says you can’t do it. DO IT!
