Based on the results of your quiz, along with the other information we have covered, you should now have an idea of what body type you fall into. The following are some additional specifics on each gland.

Eating Pattern and Frequency

Liver: Because the liver regulates growth hormone and IGF, both of which have a function of controlling blood sugars between meals, it’s best to eat three meals but not in between. A good breakfast with protein (as opposed to skipping it) is the most important of all meals.

Thyroid: People with a Thyroid body type crave sugar because of the sluggishness of fuel processing. It is important for these people to eat between meals (protein raw nuts and seeds) to maintain enough fuel so that blood sugars stay even.

Adrenal: The Adrenal type is dumping lots of stored sugar into the bloodstream or is eating up muscles and turning proteins into sugar. To prevent this, keep protein in the body with small frequent meals especially between main meals.

Ovary: These people crave chocolate and starches, especially around menstruation. It’s vitally important to maintain a protein and fat breakfast mode and to keep sugars low.

Additional Tips

Liver: The Liver type usually has digestive troubles. Consuming fermented foods, such as pickles, sauerkraut, low-fat plain yogurt and low-fat cheese, is recommended.

Thyroid: The thyroid is inhibited by estrogen, so decreasing exposure to estrogen will help this situation this includes soy products, since soy is estrogenic.

Adrenal: Because the Adrenal type is losing the mineral potassium, the pH of their blood often becomes excessively alkaline. A teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in water before bed is recommended, as this helps stabilize blood pH and potassium (potassium has a relaxing effect).

Ovary: Many times the Ovary body type has ovarian cysts, fibroids, etc. Avoiding estrogenic triggers would be recommended; avoid commercial milks, cheese and meats unless they are hormone free.

Type of Exercise

Liver: To trigger the liver fat-burning hormone (growth hormone), use high-intensity, short-duration exercise (anaerobic).

Thyroid: Because the thyroid controls the number and size of your mitochondria (cellular energy factories), high-intensity, short-duration exercise is best (anaerobic).

Adrenal: The adrenal gland is already stressed and exercise will put it into overwhelm. Do light, low-pulse-rate, low-intensity exercise (aerobic). Once the adrenals are stronger, then you can add some anaerobic exercise.

Ovary: Since most of the fat is superficial and around the legs and buttocks area, walking or biking is best. The Ovary body type should do a combination of both high- and low-intensity exercise.

There Are Four Different Body Shapes, Each Influenced by Hormones. Many people think that the shape of the body is purely genetic and there is nothing that can be done about it. But our bodies and our body shapes are actually controlled by hormones. Take the Body Type Quiz to determine your body type. Then chose the matching program to create a healthy body.
