One Reason Your Diet Fails!

Your friends, family, and co-workers, although often well-meaning, WILL probably attempt to undermine your progress.

The biggest challenge I come across is not getting people committed to stay ON track, but friends and co-workers taking them OFF track.

Your friends, family, and co-workers, although often well-meaning, WILL probably attempt to undermine your progress.

Have you heard these before?
¢ Just take a piece — it’s a holiday!
¢ Come on, enjoy life! Everything in moderation.
¢ You’re not one of those health nuts, are you?
¢ Hey, you’ve done so well this week, you gotta reward yourself sometimes!
¢ Oh, what diet are you on this week?
¢ How long will your diet last this time?
¢ I’ll bet you can’t do it for more than a week.

It’s wild to me that grocery stores actually have a Health Food Section (foods without chemicals or added sugar, etc.). So what is the rest of the store called, the Unhealthy Food Section? It’s even crazier that someone would tease you for eating food.

Food n. — that which is eaten to provide nutrition thus sustaining LIFE, providing energy, and promoting the growth and repair of tissues [Old English foda, nourishment]

What they don’t know is that they are probably not eating food.

So how do YOU handle the people around you, other than strangulation therapy! I have a few comebacks that I think might work:

  • Oh, I am highly allergic and break out in a contagious rash. But if you think I’ll be okay eating this, hey, why not?
  • I want to thank you in advance for not having it around the house.
  • I’m rewarding my body this week with high-nutrient-dense foods, but thanks anyway.
  • I understand that you do not think I will stick with the diet this time, but do me a favor and zip it dot com!
  • I’m on a very specific eating plan due to my fragile blood sugar problem and if I go off track even a little bit, I get violently and dangerously aggressive toward the people around me. But if you are okay with that, let’s get this party going!
  • I really appreciate the offer and that’s very nice of you, but I’ m keeping my body in fat burning mode.

There Are Four Different Body Shapes, Each Influenced by Hormones. Many people think that the shape of the body is purely genetic and there is nothing that can be done about it. But our bodies and our body shapes are actually controlled by hormones. Take the Body Type Quiz to determine your body type. Then chose the matching program to create a healthy body.

Amazing! All I’ve done in the last 3 weeks is change up my diet (eating healthier now), and even with my “monthly friend” I lost a total of almost 3 lbs (1 lb per week is good for me at the moment), and I’m feeling so much better!

I just started Dr. Berg’s program for adrenal body types and had some problems (headache & tiredness) the first 3 days but today is my 5th day and I’m much better. The problems was my birthday is today and coworkers usually celebrate with cake. I bit the bullet and told my coworker prior to my Bday “I hope I don’t offend you, but I can’t eat cake … instead of being offended my coworkers are bringing vegies with plain yogurt and fruit on thursday … what a great group! And thank you Dr. Berg … I have 100 lbs. to loose and am hypothyroid … but this time it will work …. bought your book and it educateds to the ninth degree … THANK YOU~ and great work Steve … you will make that 100 lb. goal!

Steve: Well done Steve – almost there!
Erica:Wonderful – keep up the good work!
Grace:Make sure you buy and eat the large carrots. The small ones are processed with chlorine – this is why they have a white film.

Yeah, I noticed those white film(s), oh nevermind, we rabbits will eat anything, you know. The small carrots are easier to eat than the large ones, but rest assured, I will take note…txs!

Eric, seriously – chlorine?? THAT’S why I’ve developed an allergy to carrots all the sudden??? I can only eat the large, organic ones without my throat closing up. That’s one of those incidental little tidbits of knowledge that really make a difference! THANK YOU!
