Targeting Your Weight Loss

12 August 2009 No Comment

Spring is just around the corner. Are you thinking about losing a few pounds before you put on that swimsuit? There’s a program called “Targeted Weight Therapy,” created by Eric Berg from the Health and Wellness Center in Alexandria, Va. He has done extensive nutrition research.

Berg claims identifying “where” you gain your weight, based on your unique body structure and lifestyle can help you determine what to eat in order to burn more fat and shed pounds. The program is based on his book The 7 Principles of Fat Burning. Berg explains why he believes eating your favorite foods and eating in moderation is the worst advice for people who want to lose weight. Through his research, he isolates 6 hormones that either burn off or produce fat within a body, and the dietary and exercise triggers which cause them to act.

He says these triggers, activated by specific foods and exercise, targets one of four body shapes, which causes fat to locate itself at specific places on the body. Take the Body Type Quiz.
